Roots in community learningFPSC was registered as a community-based organisation on 10 April 2015.

From a local learning response to a national NGO

The work began with Isiaka Hassan Msuya and colleagues organising teaching support for children from vulnerable backgrounds in Kisangara Village, particularly in mathematics and science.

A documented Mo Dewji Foundation contribution of TZS 7,711,000 on 13 October 2015 supported the early Furahini Learning Centre. FPSC later developed educational institutions and broader community work, transitioning to a registered national NGO in February 2025.

FPSC now works from Mwanga Ward through two schools, a growing sports-for-retention pathway and wider programmes supporting children, young people, women and communities.

Community roots

FPSC began as a community-based organisation, growing from volunteer learning support for children in rural Mwanga.

Documented early support

Mo Dewji Foundation support of TZS 7,711,000 helped strengthen the early Furahini Learning Centre.

2018 onward

Scholarship continuity

FPSC records 103 learners sponsored cumulatively since 2018, with current annual figures reported separately.

Feb 2025

National NGO status

FPSC transitioned to a registered Tanzanian national NGO, Registration No. 00NGO/R/8020.
