FPSC is implementing a connected package of water, sanitation and boarding improvements across its two education institutions in Mwanga District. The work responds to practical school needs that directly affect health, safety, dignity and the quality of the learning environment.
At Aman Hills Pre & Primary School, documented improvements include connection works to the SAMWASA water network, internal water distribution, a 5,000-litre storage tank and hostel sanitation improvements. Works have also strengthened privacy and safety through attached toilets and bathrooms, paved access and separation measures within the boarding environment.
At Furahini Youth Secondary School, infrastructure work has included water-storage development and continued dormitory improvement, including walling, paving, plastering, toilet and plumbing works and a patron's room to strengthen supervision and student welfare.
The project is ongoing. Some individual components have been completed while other infrastructure work continues. FPSC records Rotary club of Mühldorf - Waldkraiburg in Germany and Mrs. Christina Peter as the supporting partners for this implementation period.
However, the borehole - water shall provide a permanent solution to this prolonged problem. We welcome local and international partners to discuss about this project.
