Play Every Day Mwanga: Inclusive Active Play for 226 Learners in Mikameni and Kisangara

A planned two-school active-play programme designed to make varied, inclusive movement part of everyday school life for all 226 FPSC learners in Mikameni/Lwami and Kisangara/Mtuva.

Project details

Play Every Day Mwanga is a planned FPSC active-play programme for all 226 registered learners across Aman Hills Pre & Primary School and Furahini Youth Secondary School. The project is designed to make safe, varied and inclusive movement a normal part of the school week rather than limiting participation to children already confident in football.

The proposed model includes classroom movement breaks, supervised break-time stations and multi-activity play days using movement games, skipping, dance and rhythm, balance and coordination activities, cooperative relays and non-competitive ball activities. It also proposes staff development, reusable play resources and learner play leadership.

Amani Hills Sports Academy is the proposed technical collaborator. The project design gives particular attention to girls, younger learners and children who may need gentler, adapted or lower-confidence entry points into active play.

The project has been submitted for external funding and remains planned. Proposed activities, participant targets and implementation dates should therefore be understood as future commitments subject to funding approval.
